Hardware accessories including cabinet pull-out baskets have become the main force of China's steel furniture exports, with cross-border e-commerce boosting overseas expansion.
From January to February 2025, the export volume of steel furniture in Luoyang City reached 480 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%. Many enterprises are exploring overseas markets through the new cross-border e-commerce format.
Relying on the advantages of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones and bonded logistics parks, Luoyang Customs has guided 16 steel furniture manufacturers to build cross-border e-commerce declaration platforms, and helped enterprises optimize logistics efficiency and reduce export costs by using bonded zones for goods storage. For example, Laite Cabinetry, with AEO certification, enjoys convenient customs clearance, with foreign trade accounting for over 90% of its business. It has established stable cooperation with IKEA Sweden and achieved over 3 million US dollars in exports within two months of production.
